چکیده
Duct noise control is an important practical problem. This paper explores the vibro-acoustic mechanism of duct through membrane in tandem. Validity and feasibility proposed analytical model demonstrated by comparing existing simplified models full direct aeroacoustic simulation solved with CE/SE model. It shown that coupling effect between two membranes tandem not negligible to predict system response. Moreover, introduction multimembranes or even only efficient way apply this passive method practice.

Active noise control of a duct using robust control theory
In this paper, the control of sound propagation in an air-handling duct is investigated. Employing identified discrete t ime models of the duct, robust linear controllers are designed using the combined pole placement/sensitivity function shaping method. T h e particularities of harmonic noise sources are taken into account, avoiding the classical stochastic adaptive and the reference noise bas...
متن کاملInvestigation of Frequency Domain Adaptive Filter in Short Duct Active Noise Control System
The active noise control system within a short duct has many potential applications. However, it has been noticed that the causal constraint of this system is always broken due to the extra delay caused by the AD/DA converters and the downsampling process. Although the frequency domain adaptive algorithm has the benefits of fast convergence speed and low computational burden, it has been notice...
متن کاملActive Noise Control in a Duct With Flow
Active noise control in a one dimensional acoustic duct, in which fluid medium inside the duct has a mean flow velocity, is studied. The acoustic duct model with general boundary conditions is solved in Laplace domain and infinite dimensional system transfer functions are obtained. For controller designs, appropriate microphone, and noise canceling source locations are determined. Low order fin...
متن کاملNonlinear active noise control in a linear duct
The problem in active noise control in a linear duct is examined. Essentially, a nonlinear inverse to a nonminimum phase actuator is proposed. The nonlinear inverse exploits the non-Gaussian nature of some chaotic and stochastic noise sources. The architecture of the controller is derived using Bayesian estimation theory and is shown to be a combination of a linear adaptive network and a radial...
متن کاملActive noise control of an acoustic duct using feedback control
Forced air cooling systems, such as an airconditioning system produce noise. For a pleasant living environment, this noise is undesirable. A way to suppress produced noise is reducing the sound in the duct where the air flows through afterwards. a his report handles the noise reduction in an active duct silencer by the use of a discrete feedback controller. Models of the involved processes are ...
